Der vorliegende Text wurde anhand der Buchausgabe von 1928 so
weit wie möglich originalgetreu wiedergegeben. Offensichtliche
Fehler wurden stillschweigend korrigiert. Ungewöhnliche und heute
nicht mehr verwendete Schreibweisen bleiben gegenüber dem Original
unverändert. Sofern der Sinn dadurch nicht verfälscht wird, wurden
fremdsprachliche Ausdrücke so belassen wie vom Autor formuliert.

Das Inhaltsverzeichnis wurde der Übersichtlichkeit halber vom
Bearbeiter erstellt. Seiten mit Buchwerbung wurden am Ende des Bandes
zusammengefasst.

Das Original wurde in Frakturschrift gesetzt. Besondere
Schriftvarianten werden im vorliegenden Text mit Hilfe der folgenden
Symbole gekennzeichnet:

gesperrt: +Pluszeichen+
Antiqua: ~Tilden~
unterstrichen: Unterstriche

Im Sachregister (hier ‚Sachweiser‘ genannt) wurden Begriffe mit
den Großbuchstaben ‚I‘ und ‚J‘ nicht separat angegeben, da in
Frakturschrift zwischen diesen nicht unterschieden wird. In der
vorliegenden Fassung werden die Begriffe jedoch getrennt aufgeführt.
